The Importance of Water by Tamara Connoly By now, everyone knows that water is essential to the body. It's praises have been sung in the media, in news reports and in nutritional guides, like those provided by the government. It's very important to drink water. Your body requires plenty of water to help with practically every function it performs. Dehydration is a bad state for your body, you begin to flush minerals and vitamins that your body needs. Therefore it is essential that you make it a priority to drink plenty of water, on or off this or any diet. The benefits of drinking plenty of water also include the ability of water to make you feel full, without adding any calories into your diet. Dehydration has many symptoms, such as headaches, low blood pressure, sometimes dizziness, and many other symptoms that vary from common to rare. It's simply a condition you should want to avoid. Staying hydrated allows your body to exercise longer, feel more energized, and expel your waste optimally. Your body basically depends on water to survive. The typical recommendation is 8 glasses of water a day, usually 8 oz glasses. This works out to around 2 liters of water per day MINIMUM. It's very hard to stay on top of something as "trivial" as water consumption, but working to make it a part of your daily routine will make a massive impact on your health and and subsequent diet. Be sure to urinate whenever you feel pressure in your bladder. There are plenty of problems associated with infrequent urination. Urinating helps rid the body of toxins and other waste, and failure to expel these things will result in health issues. |
