MEAL SUGGESTIONS (CONTINUED)

Once phase one is over you will begin to add foods to your repertoire. Here are some suggestions for a day in phase two.

Phase Two

For breakfast you can have an omellette and you may now add fruits (within reason) and perhaps orange juice and a slice of toast made with 100% whole grain.

Lunch can be a piece of fish or veal with a whole grain bun and some vegetable such as broccoli or asparagus or zucchini,

Lastly, dinner will be steak or chicken fajitas in whole wheat tortillas with some fresh tomatoes, onions and green peppers. Some low-fat sour cream can be added.

Phase Three

Phase Three can be any meals you would eat before the diet, with controlled amounts of the carbs you have been taught to avoid in the first two phases. And when you wish to eat something that was restricted in both phases, realize that it probably shouldn't be eaten at all and try to find reasonable substitutes for them.
