MEAL SUGGESTIONS

Eating is slightly different in each phase of the diet, but the general tendencies remain the same. The best source for meal plans is the books written for the diet. Here are just a few examples of how to eat on the diet.

Phase One

Phase one is very carb-restricted. Therefore you want to eat things that have no bread, sugars, etc.

A breakfast may include turkey bacon slices, eggs, certain vegetables such as zucchini and beans, some fat-free cheeses such as american cheese, cottage cheese.

Lunch could be a salad with lettuce and cucumber, some parmesan cheese and olive oil with some vinegar and black pepper. If really hungry you could throw some white chicken breast meat on top.

For dinner you can make a steak with some asparagus spears or broccoli, or some fish with snow peas and cauliflower.
